The Judging

There is no possible way, in a persons lifetime, to listen to each and every remix, and come to a valid decision in which to vote upon, without some kind of organization taking place in order to narrow the list into a much smaller numerical figure.

The following process has evolved in light of this:

In order to make a narrowed down list, for audiences to listen to, with a non-biased opinion, a panel of judges will be hand selected, based on an application stating a number of things that will ensure only the BEST OF THE BEST remixes will be compiled into a much shorter list. (see green section).

The full list of remixes will be judged by 20 judges total. Each judge is expected to carry out thier duties in the most professional manner possible, regaurdless of proffessional experience. Carefully listening to each track in its entirity.

Each judge will be appointed a block of 25 songs (or an equal amount dispersed due to the number of remixes if less than 500) in which they will be responsible for choosing 2 songs from each block as thier final submission.
(example: Judge 1: 1-25, Judge 2:476-500, etc.)

Judges will not be assigned a group which includes thier own mix, in order to ensure fairness. If the circumstance arises that a judge is assigned a block in which thier remix is included, that particular track will be assigned to another judge, and another number will be given in its place.

Once the judges have all been assigned to the proper blocks, they will then listen to each track in its entirerty, and select 2 remixes, that are exceptionally well done, and have scored high.

They will base their decision on the results of a special review process, that will touch on such key parts of the remix as Production, Composition, Originality, and other important aspects, and rate each aspect on the "Nine Inch Rating Scale".

The Nine inch rating scale will score each part on a scale from 1-9, 1 being the lowest, 9 being the highest.

Out of the total number of remixes, this list will be deconstructed into a list of 40 songs.

The Top Ten

20 remixes from the Top Forty, will be voted on for a 10 Day Period. The top 5 from each round of voting, 2 rounds in total will become the Top Ten. The top ten will then be voted on, and a winner decided!

Prizes, as well as international recognition, and an overall boost in confidence, will be given to the winners that recieve the most votes.
